wisdom/folly

It's so easy to be on the other side, to lift your legs and step over the fine thread that separates Christian thinking and worldly thinking. I wonder (and I only wonder) if some people overdo it, making themselves sound like cultish martyrs, spouting carefully phrased theological terminologies that sound way too rehearsed and somewhat pretentious.

"Pretentious, preachy fools. God God God God God God God God."

Resist the urge.

Isaiah 29:14
"Therefore once more I will astound these people,
with wonder upon wonder;
the wisdom of the wise will perish,
the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish."

1 Corinthians 1:19
For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

Edit: But!! It doesn't necessarily mean we can reverse what the normal human thinking would rationalize as folly and automatically assume it to be (God's) wisdom, if that's what you were thinking. :)
